Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: August 2026
1. Request account deletion
If you no longer want to use Pulse, you can request deletion of your Pulse account and the account data associated with it.
Request Account DeletionWhen you send your request, please include:
- The email address associated with your Pulse account
- Your Pulse username or display name, if you have it available
We will never ask you for your password, verification codes, government ID, or payment details as part of a deletion request — you do not need to provide this information.
2. What happens after your request
After we receive your request, Pulse applies a 30-day waiting period before deletion begins. This gives you time to change your mind and regain access if the request was made in error.
After the waiting period, your account moves through the account-deletion process, which may involve multiple cleanup phases as data associated with your account is removed. Deletion is not instantaneous, and cleanup phases may take some additional time to complete after the 30-day waiting period ends.
3. Data associated with account deletion
Requesting account deletion covers data associated with your Pulse account, including:
- Your account and profile information
- Content you created and posted through your account
- Media and files you uploaded that are associated with your account
- Your authentication and account identity details, where applicable
Some things are outside the direct control of this process. For example, content you shared with other users (such as messages) may still exist in a conversation another user has independently kept, and information stored in backups is removed on our normal backup cycles rather than instantly.
4. Information that may be retained
Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate safety, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
